Regular Rope Halters with Chain Braid Noseband
Want to add some pizzazz to your halter but don't want to go all out with the braided knots? This style has an additional strand of rope that is interwoven with the 2 normal strands across the nose to create a rounded, firmer, bulkier noseband. I think it looks like a Celtic knot chain - thus the name. A great way to ID what part goes over the top of the nose. It also holds the noseband open so a soft halter is easier to put on. Adds a splash of color to coordinate with reins or lead rope without breaking the bank.
I can make the chain braid noseband on any regular halter made with soft rope or stiff cord. The interwoven piece can be 1 strand of the soft 1/4" double braid rope or 1 - 2 strands of the braiding cord.
Not available for halters made with the 5/16" semi-stiff cord
NEVER LEAVE A ROPE HALTER ON A HORSE THAT IS UNATTENDED. DO NOT TURN OUT A HORSE WEARING A ROPE HALTER. THEY ARE VIRTUALLY UNBREAKABLE SO IF YOUR HORSE GETS CAUGHT ON SOMETHING, SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH COULD RESULT.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Philippiams 4:6-7 NLT
If you plan to use your halter under a bridle, please let me know - I will make the nose knots a bit higher so they won't interfere with the headstall.
Regular Rope Halters (called 2-knot halters by some) are a great training tool. Because of the thinner rope (relative to a nylon web or leather halter) it will be more uncomfortable for your horse to lean on the halter or ignore your cues - your horse will be more responsive. Rope halters are also lighter and less bulky than web or leather halters making them great for wearing under a headstall or folding up into a saddle bag to take along on a trail ride. I make halters in a variety of rope sizes, types and colors – from super soft to very stiff – so you can choose the level of firmness that suits your needs and is best for you and your horse at your particular stage of training. Remember, the thinner the rope and the stiffer the rope, the more aggressive the halter will be.
